Apple Delays launch of iWatch
It’s true, securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed that Apple delayed the release of the iWatch until 2015 primarily due to difficulty in manufacturing. Here’s what they had to say about it:
We reiterate our view that iWatch, as compared to existing products, and as Apple’s (US) first attempt at a wearable device, represents a much higher level of difficulty for the company as regards component and system design, manufacturing and integration between hardware and software. While we are positive on iWatch and believe that the advantages of the design and business model behind it are difficult to copy, we think, given the aforementioned challenges, that the launch could be postponed to 2015.
Mass production was originally scheduled to have started by now debuting the release of the iWatch before Christmas 2014. Reports are now showing that the iWatch is not in production yet and will not be until the beginning of December or later. It may not even be revealed at the upcoming conference later next month when Apple will be debuting their iPhone 6. Some reports indicate that the iWatch may not be released until as late as October of next year 2015.
